Blue light sources have been shown to be effective in the treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory vulgaris lesions. OBJECTIVE: The researchers evaluated the safety and efficacy of a new blue light source in the treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory vulgaris in comparison to topical 1 % clindamycin solution.

The outcome of this Research: Blue light therapy reduced inflammatory vulgaris lesions by an average of 34 %, as compared to 14 % for topical 1 % clindamycin solution.
