Does Facial Sebum Excretion Really Affect The Development Of Acne By A J Jackson

It is generally accepted that the severity of is correlated with facial sebum serum. However, previous studies on the relation between seborrhoea and the development of did not consider topographical differences in facial sebum liquid and used relatively vague severity grading systems. OBJECTIVES: To elucidate the relation between topographical variations in facial sebum secretion and the severity of in women.
The researchers methods: Forty - six damsel controls and 46 women with were included in this study. researchers compared sebum secretion between patients with and controls, and analysed the relation between the quantity of sebum secreted and the number of lesions.
The outcome of this Research: Sebum secretions in the whole face and in the T - and U - zones ( areas of high and low sebum secretion, respectively ) were supplementary in patients with than in controls. There was no interrelation between sebum quantity and lesion take in in most facial regions.
The Report's Conclusions: Extended levels of facial sebum secretion were observed in patients with Acne. The researchers' findings indicate that increased sebum levels do not directly cause development of lesions.
